FAQ
1.) Q: How will I be billed for the transportation services?
A: If you are private pay and have an open account, or reside in a skilled nursing facility or assisted living residence, we will be happy to invoice you later for services rendered. Otherwise, payment is expected at the time of service unless prior arrangements are made through our office.
2.) Q: Will my insurance company pay for my Ambulette transport?
A: Unfortunately, Ride with Care cannot bill the insurance company. Private pay clients must first pay out of pocket and then work with your insurance company toward your reimbursement benefit. We will gladly mail you a paid invoice or another form of proof of transport to aid you in getting reimbursed.
3.) Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards.
4.) Q: How much advance time do I need to provide before booking a transport?
A: Usually, we prefer 24 hour notice to book a transport. However, some times circumstances do not permit this, and we always try our best to accommodate last minute reservations. Your best bet is to call and ask. We try to avoid overbooking, as it can diminish service quality.
5.) Q: Can a family member or attendant go along to my appointment?
A: Absolutely, we welcome family members or attendants to ride along.
6.) Q: Can I travel in my own wheelchair?
A: Yes. We can also provide one for you. However, if you decide to use the company's wheelchair, the w/c must be taken by the driver prior to each drop-off.
7.) Q: Can a customer be transport with oxygen?
A: Yes, we transport customers that requires oxygen as long as our team does not have to administer the oxygen and the tank is secured to the wheelchair. Also, please note the expected duration of your stay, as well as travel time to ensure to carry the appropriate amount of oxygen for your trip.
8.) Q: Are there any passengers we cannot transport?
A: Unfortunately, Ride with Care cannot transport customers requiring stretchers and/or medical attention.
